We also have an I.T. side to the business. Project Management, application and web based development, bespoke systems & contracts. In fact, this is where we really make our money, and we're very good at it. Customers include Barclaycard, DHL, the Police plus one or two other multinational businesses. |
We're recovering from the previous gig. We'll let you know when the next one has been planned. - If you want a venue in Leeds, with that intimate touch, speak to Steve, Mike, Ade or Gaz at the Royal Park Cellars. They have top of the range P.A. - hang on, it's RoomR's! |

Based in North Cave, East Yorkshire, near Hull, England, we stage events and support new, local bands updated 24th June 2008 |
Unfortunately Cavefest 2008 was not as well attended as we had hoped. The result being that we are unlikely to arrange another event of this type. This does not take away anything from the strength and quality of the performance of most of the bands. They were good, and more. An excellent combination with something to get everyone going. Vessels were superb, but we ran out of time. We will not be asking the Cliques back, ever, for totally unacceptable off stage behaviour reasons. Personal favorite was Dead Leg who are very welcome anytime. Red Go Green Stop just can't be labeled. A great stage performance full, in fact very full, of personality. You like them or you don't but you can't deny that they do it really well.
Dartz!, Tellison, and Cocean at the Packhorse, Woodhouse Lane. All bands did extremely well. A more than capacity audience. We found out afterwards that there were dozens outside who couldn't get in. RoomR, good friends with Dave Taylor, the promoter, stepped in at the eleventh hour when he was let down by another supplier of PA, and Dave was very happy. We were stretched, doing two venues at the same time, but came through well.
North Cave Gala, over three days in summer, another success despite the threat of rain. RoomR provided PA and lighting, including the main broadcasting system to the whole field, and a smaller system for the big marquee. A good amount of money was raised for the playing field and club, ensuring that it can continue supporting the local community for the coming year.
In the end it was only 8 acts, but never the less, a hard work evening. 17th February at the Arcadia club in Goole for Dave Taylor's 21st birthday party. The main act being The all new adventures of us who were excellent. Also on were 'Nice clean cut'. If you are lucky enough to have the chance to see these guys, don't miss it. This was their 4th time on stage, but you would never know it. Another band worth a mention is Tellison. They were missing both a drummer and bassist but the show must go on, and it did. If any of these three are playing near you, go and see them, you really won't regret it.
It was in a different league altogether. The Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly! gig, 13th October at the Vikings in Goole went down a storm. A crowd of about 400, quite a few of whom ended up on the stage with Sam. All three bands put on a great performance but if you get a chance to see Sam, don't miss it! Also, Dartz are well worth a look. RoomR's bit was to provide the PA, lighting and staging. If you look at the stock list you'll see that we have some of most things but this was the biggest and most professional thing we have tried to do yet. It's a bit disconcerting when the road crew come in and the engineer says 'Oh no, serious channel problem'. Perhaps ours is not the biggest desk in the world, but it's been fine so far. We cobbled together the drum mixer to the desk, used every channel and input available, and it was just enough. The one thing that didn't let us down was the HK Audio cabs. They delivered the best quality sound for the audience, even though it was totally maximum stretch throughout. A long day's work but we certainly learnt a lot.
RoomR provided technical support to the Shire Hall, Howden on 30th September. Slack Alice was the main act: consummate professionals and lovely guys. The Element, rising local band, provided strong support. Quality music all night!
The Hog on the Humber was a great success. We stood and watched for what seemed like hours as the Harley Davidsons went past. Our bit (staring the excellent Zimmer band), which was the night before at Beverley Race Course, was brilliant. Not a bad word from anyone, and many very good words. About 400 in the crowd. Loads of money for children's charity!
RoomR provided the full PA, Radio mics, plus marquees, etc. for the NORTH CAVE GALA on Sunday 11th June 2006. A very successful day, hundreds of happy people. Perhaps the excellent weather helped.....
The Duke of Cumberland North Ferriby Friday 17th March 2006 An excellent night, loudly supported by an audience of about 150.Guisarme led, followed by Bad Magic and then Soulflame. Immane Fate went through to the finish at about 11:45. Over 3 hours of live music from bands who all knew their stuff and provided stage performances second to none. Halloween Rumours at Ionians Brantingham 29th October 2005 was one of our best. All three bands - Immane Fate, Bad Magic and Soulflame played better than they've ever done before. It was a highest quality night. Even the Chef was waving his blow torch around to Immane Fate! RoomR produced Cactus Fest, KC Stadium Sports - Immane Fate, Bad Magic, The Rise and Semitone + first time on stage for Living Proof. A great night of superb rock and enormous atmosphere. (+ we put on Cactus Fest 1 and 2 before, produced by Tom Ullrich.) RoomR has provided high quality disco / karaoke to previous very special events, and scored very highly. A great light show on a windmill in Lincolnshire plus disco/PA equipment... |
